Helvey-Wagner Surveying, Inc. (HWS) was formed in 2015 as a continuation of the long-time established business of Helvey and Associates Surveying that has served the North Texas region since 1983. HWS is the first female-owned surveying company in Grayson County, with Kate Wagner (Helvey) serving as President. Having a combined total of over 50 years experience in the surveying industry, HWS provides a broad range of services in the surveying field with the most current and up-to-date technology. Survey-grade GPS systems and AutoCAD, along the advancements in computer technology and field equipment, have elevated the realm of services a surveyor can provide.  HWS clients include various municipalities and financial institutions, various land developers, numerous real estate agents and brokers, large to small-sized businesses and multiple engineering and construction firms. Our company has extensive surveying experience in infrastructure and highway projects, in which we have provided high-detail and complex surveys. HWS is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, Denison Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Texoma Association of Realtors. Our company has excellent credentials in providing the most complete and professional services available. HWS is a HUB-certified company, as well as Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certified.
In 2016, HWS bought out Sartin & Associates in Sherman along with records from five past surveyors. Having an extensive amount of surveys and supporting documents provides better knowledge and insight for multiple properties and developments in our area.

 

KATE WAGNER

President/CEO

Kate Wagner became a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in 2015. She began working in the surveying industry in 2004 as an office assistant at Helvey & Associates, which her father, Billy Helvey, started. Growing up with her father as a surveyor and working in the business since high school, she decided to pursue surveying and obtain her license to carry on the family business. She graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Shortly after receiving her license in 2015, she took over the business completely and in 2016 Helvey-Wagner Surveying was formed. Being the first woman surveyor in Grayson County prompted her to obtain a WBE (Women Business Enterprise) Certification, as well as the HUB certification for the company. Mrs. Wagner has overseen multiple projects including large developments, high-level infrastructure/utility route surveys and thousands of residential and commercial surveys. Customer service and satisfaction is her top priority and ensures that she will go above and beyond to provide an accurate and precise product.


Kate resides in Pottsboro with her husband, LD Wagner and their 2 children, Lexi and Vince.
